Shipping and Customs

There will be three sea containers on site for ORCAS: two RAF ground support equipment (GSE) containers and one science container.

The RAF containers will be shipped to Punta Arenas in mid August 2015. These containers will be used on a project prior to ORCAS and then will stay in Punta Arenas until ORCAS is over.

The science container will be loaded starting 9 November 2015 and shipped out on 16 November 2015 (exact dates are subject to minor change). All hazardous materials should be declared to RAF and be placed on hangar floor for inspection on or by 9 November.

The containers will be shipped back to Colorado on 1 - 3 March 2015 and are expected to arrive in CO in mid April.
