Gregg Fahrenbruch, RAF Aviation Operations Manager, receives 2025 UCAR Outstanding Accomplishment Award for Leadership
Congratulations to Gregg Fahrenbruch, Aviation Operations Manager in NSF NCAR’s Earth Observing Laboratory, on receiving the 2025 UCAR Outstanding Achievement Award for Leadership.
Since joining in 2024, Gregg has energized and modernized the EOL’s Research Aviation Facility, strengthening its capabilities, fostering a strong and collaborative team culture, and supporting consistently successful mission outcomes. His combination of aviation expertise, strategic vision, and transparent leadership has set a high bar for research aviation at NSF NCAR. Gregg’s leadership was central to the flawless completion of three recent airborne campaigns: CG WaveS, GOTHAAM, and MAIRE25.
The UCAR Leadership Award, established in 2023, recognizes exceptional leadership that advances UCAR’s operations, science, and reputation.
