Perdigao-ISS

The ISS (Integrated Sounding System) was distributed around four sites at the Perdigao field campaign in the Castelo Branco district of Portugal.  Two sites, the West Wind Profiler site and the Sodar-RASS site were set up in December 2016.  The two other sites, the sounding site and the east profiler at the Operations Center (using an NCAS/AMF radar wind profiler from the UK), were set up in late April.  Measurements continued until June 15, 2017.  Quick-look summary plots are available here:

Radar Wind Profiler with RASS LAP-3000 1292 MHz Wind profiles (0.2-3 km), Virtual temperature profiles (0.2 - 0.7 km) every 30 minutes
Surface Met Sensor WXT-520 Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Winds and Precip at 3m every minute
Web camera Logitech C270 Images towards northeast (every 5 minutes)

 

Sodar-RASS Site (39.6961N, 7.7191W, 361m) Dec 2016 - June 2017
Sodar-RASS Metek DSDPA.90-24 Wind profiles (50-400m), Virtual temperature profiles (50-400m) every 10 minutes
Surface Met Sensor Lufft WS700 Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Winds and Precip at 3m every minute

 

Sounding Site at the upper orange grove (39.7137N, 7.7367W, 311m) May - June 2017
Soundings RS92 sondes with NCAR GAUS receiver Temperature, Humidity, Pressure and Winds to tropopause
Surface Met Sensor Lufft WS800 Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Winds and Precip at 3m every minute
Web Camera Panasonic BL-C140A Images towards southwest (every 5 minutes)
