The DELTA project will follow standard NOAA data sharing policies. These policies can be accessed here (for data collected under NOAA contract) and here (for data collected under a NOAA grant). In short, data collected under NOAA contract must be made available as soon as feasible, and in no case later than one year after collection, allowing for time to do quality-control work and prepare the data for archival. Data collected under a NOAA grant must be shared “no later than publication of a peer-reviewed article based on the data, or two years after the data are collected and verified, or two years after the original end date of the grant (not including any extensions or follow-on funding), whichever is soonest, unless a delay has been authorized by the NOAA funding program.”
