NCAR NUW

ATI electronics repackaged into a non-orthogonal array modeled after the University of Washington (UW) design.  These have been replaced by our use of CSAT3, that have lower maintenance.

Calibration Methods

NUW anemometers need to be periodally rezeroed by placing a wind-proof enclosure over each pair of transducers.  They also need to have the array geometery measured periodically, that is done by hand using reference "balls" and calipers.  After a geometry measurement, the data need to be processed (currently using code available from Oncley) to create rotation matrix coefficients that are (manually) uploaded to each sensor.
