Description
Model:
Meinberg LANTIME M1000
Measurements Provided:
Precision Time Codes:
IRIG-B 122 Amplitude Modulated (AM)
NTP; Network Time Protocol
1PPS; Pulse per Second; TTL
10Mhz output; sine wave
General Description:
Timing signals are used primarily by data acquisition computers and instruments to provide accurate time tagging of data. The timeservers all take a GPS antenna in and produce a number of timing signals.
Network Time Protocol (NTP). Ethernet based distribution. RFC 958.
IRIG-B 122 AM. Separate physical line with distribution box.
Pulse per second (1-PPs). Separate physical line with distribution box.
10Mhz pulse signal
Some models may have RS-232 or Ethernet (UDP) output.
Measurement Characteristics:
Overall estimate of uncertainty: IRIG-B is single digit microseconds, NTP is single digit milliseconds.
