September 24, 2004 to October 21, 2004
Project Location:
Gulf of Alaska
Project Description:

The Southeast Alaska Regional Jets experiment (aka GOA2004, Barrier Jets in the Gulf of Alaska) field campaign studied mesoscale coastal phenomena by measuring barrier jet morphology over the Gulf of Alaska's diverse three-dimensional terrain. The campaign took place during fall 2004, and used the Wyoming King Air aircraft to measure the mean flow and turbulent and cloud microphysical properties over the gulf.
