Great Lakes Ice Cover and Atmospheric Flux

PROJECT DATES
02/18/2004 - 03/02/2004
Project Location
Lake Erie
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Great Lakes Ice Cover and Atmospheric Flux experiment used the University of Wyoming's King Air to gather data during flights over Lake Erie. The experiment provided information about how atmospheric boundary layers and the surface of varying depths of ice packs on mid-latitude lakes exchange processes through turbulent heat fluxes.
