An initial Master List of all SLC-SOS datasets (with links) has been compiled to provide easy access to all operational and research SLC-SOS datasets. This list will form the SLC-SOS Field Data Archive at NCAR Earth Observing Laboratory where datasets are grouped and sorted by category (i.e., radar, satellite, etc.) and platform. Please review this list to verify that your dataset(s) are properly named, with the appropriate authors identified. Email any corrections, additions, or deletions directly to eol-archive@ucar.edu . If you already have your datasets available on-line elsewhere, please email the link(s) or FTP access information.
It is critical that submitted datasets are accompanied by sufficient documentation. Each dataset MUST be accompanied by a Readme file that meets the Data Set Documentation Requirements.
To submit your dataset(s) and documentation to the SLC-SOS Field Data Archive, see the instructions below. For users without Internet access, ftp access, or if your dataset(s) are too large to FTP, please contact eol-archive@ucar.edu to discuss submission options. If you have a large number of files to FTP, it can ease the transfer if you tar or zip your files by day or what makes sense for your dataset.
You can SFTP transfer your data to the SLC-SOS Field Data Archive by Linux command line or your favorite SFTP client (e.g. FileZilla) via:
Server (hostname): catalog-ingest.eol.ucar.edu
User: slc-sos
Password: same password as field catalog, or contact eol-archive@ucar.edu
Change to project directory: cd slc-sos
The linux command line would be: sftp slc-sos@catalog-ingest.eol.ucar.edu
Once your files have been transferred, please send an email to eol-archive@ucar.edu with the following information for your dataset(s):
- Dataset Title
- A summary of the files transferred so we can verify full transfer.
- Are the data considered to be in a preliminary (not publication ready) or final (publication ready, can still be updated later if needed) state?
All datasets in "Final" form will be given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) unless otherwise requested. Datasets in "Preliminary" form are not given a DOI.
