H2O/CO2 Infrared Gas Analyzer

Short Name or Variable Name
EC-150

The EC-150 is an open-path infrared gas analyzer (IRGA) that measures water vapor and carbon dioxide.  Combined with a 3-D sonic anemometer (as shown above), it provides fluxes of these two quantities using the eddy-covariance method.  It shares electronics with the CSAT3A and thus only requires one serial port to ingest data from both sensors.  This currently is the operational ISFS sensor for measuring scalar fluxes.  The manufacturer provides a laboratory zero and span proceedure that is used prior to field deployment to linearly adjust the calibration.
