Project Location:
Greeley, CO
Project Description:

The Precipitation Echo Statistics project aimed to reduce radar bias errors by collecting high-resolution radar data using the Colorado State University–University of Chicago–Illinois State Water Survey (CSU-CHILL) radar facility in Greeley, Colorado. Observations for rain and snow using a stationary antenna were collected and analyzed to compute a clustering index, thus discovering partially coherent backscatter in the radar observations.
