Changes in config files: 
 
 Config files have been changed to reflect 
the channel changes in marigold. Files 
changed were prep.config, prep.config.raw, 
channel_config, archive_config, and 
did.config. 
 
 

Work on flux tower: 
 
 For the last 15 minutes somebody 
has been on the flux tower. Time 
now is 21:45 GMT. 
 

Covars restarted on daisy at 2:40 GMT. 
 

Marigold covars down for a time: 
 
 Marigold and solentfssp covars were shut 
down for about 1/2 hour to resolve problem with 
daily plots. The 2 covar files were switching 
the data they were saving. A fix was made to 
marigold.covar script. This work took place 
around 16:00 GMT. 
 

Archives and Covars stopped on cosmos and marigold: 
 
 Archiving and covaring has been stopped on 
marigold and cosmos for new changes in configuration. 
Time is 18:56 gmt. 
 

New Configuration: 
 
 The decision has been made to add 
flexibility to the adam configurations to 
allow the movement of the pvm sensors to 
other locations. Talking with Gordon, we decided 
there was not the need to start a new ops. The 
changes are outlined below. 
 
 Marigold channel 111 is no longer h2o2. Refer to the 
logbook entry after this one for more info on 
this sensor. 
 Channel 111 will now be "c.pvm.10m.walk". 
This will provide a means to do intercomparisons 
between the pvm and fssp sensors. 
The channel has a filter of 10hz with a gain of 1. 
 
 In prep.config the calibration routine for the 
PVMs have been changed to td_linear instead of 
linear (except in prep.config.raw which stays linear). 
In cal_files 3 new files have been created to provide 
the calibration parameters. 
These will be changed whenever a PVM is moved. The channel 
without a PVM will have its cal factors set to zero. 
 
 Channel 111 has been added to the fast channels in archive. 
This channel has also been changed to a 20 hz channel in 
channel_config.  
 
 "c.pvm.10m.walk" has been added to did.config with did number 
155. 
 
 In the covar_marigold, "c.pvm.10m.walk"  has been added to 
the group with atik.10m.walk. 
 
 The c.pvm.10m.walk has been added to create_cdl.csh and 
cov2netcdf.csh. 
 
 

Restarted marigold and cosmos: 
 
 Covars, archive, and netcdf were 
restarted at 20:50 gmt. 
 

cal_files issue: 
 
 Rick brought up the issue of saving the 
cal_files directory on a regular basis since it 
impacts the archive data. I talked to Gordon about 
the option of adding it to the daily archive tape. 
For now, we decided that weekly backup of the system 
should be done. 
 
Backup done, on tape #6. 
 
 

restarted covar_cosmos 
 
This done to try using  mode.licor with a delay. 
 

archiving changed for marigold 
 
We've just moved Peter's channels from psyc/psyc to walk/slow 
since they are (and actually have been for the last week) 
monitoring channels in the seatainer rather than his 
comparison temperature/humidity probe.  I hope this isn't 
too confusing in the data! 
 

cosmos rebooted 
 
This done to get my slightly modified sio_converters used for 
the AA IR sensor.
