Remote Site is setup
Remote site is operational on the slope of
Watch peak at a height of 200 m above sea
level. At the moment relativ humidity,
temperatur and net radiation are measured.
The data acquisition rate is 6 sec. averaged
to 1 minute data.
Time is set to GMT synchronized to the ASTER
unix computer time.
Start data logging was 18:30 1994 Aug 7 (219)
GMT. Data are going to be available after the
next visite of the remote site.

Remote site:
Location of remote site:
On the slope of watch peak at an elevation of ca. 204m.
Measurement of a Vaisaila RH probe and net radiometer with
a Campbell CR-10 data logger. A wind monitor is going to be
setup later in CACHE3.
Readings occur every 6 seconds, the data are averaged to 1 minute
values.
RH.1min = sum(RH.6sec)/10
T.1min = sum(T.6sec)/10
NetRad.1min = sum(NetRad.6sec)/10
WS.1min = sum(WS.6sec)/10
WD.1min = arctan(Ux/Uy)
Ux=sum(sin(WD.6sec))/10
Uy=sum(cos(WD.6sec))/10
WDdev.1min = arcsin(eps)*[1+0.1547*eps^3] "Yamartino algorithm"
eps=sqrt(1-((Ux)^2+(Uy)^2))
Ux,Uy see above
Data format:
Each line contains the data of the last minute, separated by
commas.
id,jday,hhmm,secs,T,RH,WS,WD,WDdev,NetRad
id = CR10 storage id number (no special meaning)
jday = julian day
hhmm = hours and minute in hhmm format (GMT)
secs = seconds in ss.ss format
T = Temperatur in C
RH = relativ humidity in %
WS = wind speed in m/s
WD = wind direction in degree
WDdev = wind direction standard deviations
NetRad = net radiation in W/m2
Data files:
RS220226.DAT
Start: jday=220, hhmm=0302; 08/08/94 03:02 GMT
End : jday 226, hhmm=1757; 08/14/94 17:57 GMT
From 220, 03:02 until 225, 16:55
There are RH, T and NetRad data available. WS, WD, WDdev are not valid.
From 225, 16:56 until 226, 17:57
Only NetRad is valid.

Air Condition in the ASTER trailer gives off some
strange noises. I think it is the ventilator.
I turned it off at 11:49 GMT.
