Sonde dropped about 20 mb for a minute or so at around 18km range, 480mb or 6 km height; perhaps it met a downward phase of a wave as it went over the next ridge.

Surface winds (westerly) picked up near end of flight.
Occasionally lost winds.  Winds okay up to about 180mb or 12km.

center with balloon. Balloon continues on its way, with the sonde attached.
