NCAR / EOL is deploying an Mobile Integrated Sounding System MISS and the MGAUS mobile sounding facility to the Colorado component of the DC3 field project. The project is examining interaction between convective storms and atmospheric chemistry. The soundings will be used to aid forecasting and examine thermodynamic aspects of the storms.
MISS is operating near Fort Morgan CO and
MGAUS is mobile, and may be operating anywhere in the Front Range or NE Colorado area.
