The Student Nowcasting & Observations of Winter Weather with the DOW at University of North Dakota Education in Research (SNOwD UNDER) took place from November 15 to December 6, 2010 at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND.The project introduced undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences to the planning and implementation of components of a field experiment by using one of the Doppler on Wheels in connection with other observational facilities including the UN Citation. Data collected by the radar was implemented in several meteorology classes within the Department during the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters.
