Data examples

50 days of data collected at FRAPPE in Erie CO USA (summer 2014), and 50 days at PECAN in Hays KS USA (summer 2015).  For each project, the relative backscatter is shown to 12 km (top) and the 5 min averaged water vapor absolute humidity profiles to 6 km (bottom).  The water vapor profiles show diurnal variability both in water vapor amount and depth and generally extend to greater heights at night than during the day.  The vertical white strips indicate missing data, and for the water vapor, regions where retrievals are not possible through the optically thick clouds.
