sonde humidity was higher than sfc humidity by a factor of around 20. we waited for it to stabalize but it did not and we decided to proceed with the launch. on the launch screen, raw met data still had the sonde humidity at around 70 but 
the 10-sec data has it showing up at around 50 before we launched.

The roving team (Lou and June) visited Kino site on Aug. 10 and Aug. 11. Here is a summary for our visit:

(1) Profiler data backup: We stopped the profiler at 20:05-20:55 UTC on Aug. 10 to back up the profiler data. The data were backed up to two CDs (NAME_KIN04 and NAME_KIN05). We left one copy in the trailer and brought one copy with us. After backup, the disk was ~20% full.

(2) Data backup on DM computer: We backed up raw and NIMA data on DM computer on two DVDs (one for raw and one for NIMA), left one copy in the trailer and brought one copy with us.

Short power outage this morning at 12z launch from storm. We had to restart the sounding system and bypass the clary as it started beeping at the very start of launch before we let the balloon go. We aborted the sonding, restarted the system without the clary and everything seems fine.

First sonde we launched was bad, #408401511, no wind data up to termination pressure of 617 mb except for between 1009.6mb to 937.1 mb. The signal was good and the satellites were between 5-8 the whole flight. Launched another sonde, it also had missing wind data at the lower levels but improves with height. -Heather
