sonde humidity was higher than sfc humidity by a factor of around 20. we waited for it to stabalize but it did not and we decided to proceed with the launch. on the launch screen, raw met data still had the sonde humidity at around 70 but 
the 10-sec data has it showing up at around 50 before we launched.

Since yesterday afternoon I've been working with the operators at Penasco to fix the motosat system. In theory the system should be working. All tests have have worked fine . System passed calibrate sensors ,good sat numbers for strengh and quality. System has been shutdown and rebooted ,dish stowed and brought up
 again. GPS up dates when refreshed.
Still time out error messages when attempting to go to any web site.
 Currently waiting on a return call from Eagle Computers to discuss what could 
be happening.
 From what operators have said porblems started after some disruption in power
to the system.

(2) Data backup on DM computer: We backed up raw and NIMA data on DM computer on two DVDs (one for raw and one for NIMA), left one copy in the trailer and brought one copy with us.

Weather: this morning we saw clouds at all levels this can be shown by the 
skew-t chart. they were stratus clouds at higher levels and cumulus and stratocumulus clouds at lower levels. mostly sunny the rest of today with thin layers ofstratocumulus randomly scattered when we first launched to thicker stratocumulusclouds moving in from the south by 0z.

First sonde we launched was bad, #408401511, no wind data up to termination pressure of 617 mb except for between 1009.6mb to 937.1 mb. The signal was good and the satellites were between 5-8 the whole flight. Launched another sonde, it also had missing wind data at the lower levels but improves with height. -Heather

All systems normal. Clary UPS malfunction this morning. We bypassed the Clary and plugged sounding system directly into tan box as per Lou's previous directionsEverything is running fine now.
 
12Z sonde had some problems tracking satellites this morning. Satellite service would come in and out with anywhere from 0 to 8 satellite coverage. The first sonde that we used at the 0Z launch had bad met data (Press:1211, Temp:114, RH:22)so we used another sonde for the launch.Sonde #408414100

617mb and launched a new one.Second sonde also had marginal wind data at the lower levels.
