NCAR/ATD's profiler group and Johns Hopkins University's Dept of Geography & Environmental Environmental Fluids Group carried out a three week experiment beginning late Aug 2001 at Marshall, just south of Boulder, CO. The experiment aimed to examine boundary layer growth using a lidar from Johns Hopkins, MAPR (an advanced wind profiler radar), TAOS (a tethered balloon), radiosondes, and surface met measurements. The experiment also aimed to test FDI RIM (Frequency Domain Interferometry Range IMaging) on MAPR.
