MCR Description
The MCR (multichannel cloud radiometer) is a scanning radiometer that
makes spectral radiance measurements at seven wavelengths in the visible
(VIS), near-infrared (NIR), and thermal IR portions of the
electromagnetic spectrum. Proposed applications for MCR data
include the retrieval of cloud and aerosol optical depths, particle and
droplet sizes, cloud phase data, and cloud/surface temperature data.
