Date Being Summarized:  23 April 1995

thunderstorms moved out of extreme southeast portions of the vortex area 
during the early hours of april 23, as cold and dry high pressure settled
across oklahoma and texas.  stratocu and brisk northerly winds were 
predominant after sunrise, with skies clearing during the late afternoon  
and early evening. northerly winds diminished quickly after sunset.

Several short waves, embedded in northwest flow aloft, brought
increasing cloudiness and spotty showers to the central rockies as they
approached oklahoma late in the day.
