Moderate lapse rates were over the southern Rockies and in a narrow corridor along the Gulf coast. A narrow band of low-level moisture was returning inland from over the TX Gulf coast towards a cold front coming down the Great Plains that had pushed well across much of OK by 00Z at the surface.
