NOAA OHHI Data Management Working Group

In order to accomplish its program goals and major science objectives the OHHI has established an internal Data Management Working Group to develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy.
 
OHHI Data Management Working Group Terms of Reference

Specifically, the Terms Of Reference (TOR) for the DMWG include the following tasks:

- Coordinate with the OHHI scientific community to define the data needs for OHHI research;

- Survey and monitor on-going multi-agency data management activities to ensure OHHI data and metadata are compatible with existing (or planned) standards, protocols, and interoperability;

- Design a distributed data management interface to provide efficient access to existing operational and research products, data, and metadata relevant to OHHI;

- Prepare a data management plan describing the OHHI data management strategy and implementation;

- Recommend assembly and oversee the production of new data sets and products as needed to achieve the OHHI objectives;

- Coordinate data collection activities to ensure a permanent archive upon completion of the program

- Coordinate and collaborate data management activities with other related multi-disciplinary field projects/programs
