SNOW WATER EQUIVALENT (Serreze, Barrett)
SummaryThis data includes daily Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) values for July 1999 to June 2001, representing the most complete possible "picture" of SWE for the Arctic basin, derived from available SSM/I data during this period. Data were filtered with snow climatologies derived from NOAA weekly snow charts from 1996 to 2001 (the most complete record available), and are masked for pixels in the recently updated Arctic drainage basin that RIMS has released.
The data is presented in 24 sub-datasets of different spatial and temporal
aggregations (see aggregation description below).
Data AccessORDER data for delivery by FTP.

Each aggregated data file in a dataset has a notation of a method (mean or sum) used to produce the file. The notation included in the first (top) line of the file. Please, pay attention to that. Aggregation along the "spatial scale" axis of the cube is
done using simple mean (average) over all grid cells of each basin (river, sea
basin, or continent) from an appropriate grid cell file. Additional Information
