Hi All,

The C-130 conducted at pre-frontal and frontal study during high wind conditions
on Monday 24 November. The pre-frontal flight including flying in a very strong
low-level jet (25 m/s at 2000 ft) with considerable mechanical turbulence.
Excellent nuclei mesurrements were made here, as well as cloud observations on
the return flight westwards through 1-2 strong pre-frontal bands and frontal
clouds, including post-frontal stratocumulus. Considerable airvfta icing was
observed.

After a 4:30 AM strat, the C-130 conducted a post-frontal study of a thin
stratus deck over Lake Huron. Aerosol measurements were the focus, but as the
aircraft flew downstream towards Mirabe, the cloud deck became to thin, and the
C-130 returned directly to Cleveland without going all the way to Mirabel.

The plans for Wednesday 26 November are:

8:30 AM: Weather briebing at the hotel

If flying, then:

11:00 AM: Aircraft out, power on
    1:00 PM: Takeoff
    3:00 PM: Arrive over Mirabel
    5:00 PM: Depart Mirabel
    7:00 PM: Touchdown Cleveland

If not flying, then:

    9:00 AM: Power on
9:00 AM: Science meeting at the hotel
    4:00 PM: Power off

- Jorgen
