Hi All,
The C-130 took off this morning at 6 AM local time following the 3:30 AM weather
update. There is a stratocumulus deck over Mirabel, but the cloud tops are at
+0.5 degC, so there is no icing hazard. In the lowest few hundreds of meters
over the surface there is much colder air, so drizzle - if any - may supercool
at the lower level.
The cloud top is variable, and only allows for the C-130 to make transects close
to cloud top, in order to be higher than the minimum flight altitude for the region.
