Keynote Speakers

During Session II: Setting the Stage, four keynote speakers will describe their opinion on what key science questions require facility resources and how answers to these questions will make long lasting differences to science. 


The keynote speakers are:

Dr. Alexander MacDonald, NOAA (Bio)

Dr. William H. Brune, Pennsylvania State University (Bio)

Dr. Walter Dabberdt, Vaisala Inc.

Dr. Raymond McCord, DOE/ARM (Bio)


Following the keynote addresses, Dr. Robert (Bob) Serafin will update participants on the activities of the Facilities Assessment Panel.  This panel was charged with reviewing atmospheric science instrumentation across government agencies, universities, national laboratories, international organizations, and private companies, including systems that are currently under development.
