Conference Format
The conference will begin in Boulder with registration and a welcome party/icebreaker at the NCAR Mesa Laboratory on Sunday evening, June 11, 2006. Oral and poster presentations will be given from Monday through Friday, except one mid-week afternoon, when the conference excursion and banquet will take place. One half-day period will include invited topical lectures and panel discussion. One Saturday June 17 there will be an organized excursion (at additional expense) to remarkable Georgetown, Colorado. Conference Venue

Oral presentations will take place in the Muenzinger Auditorium on the Campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder. It is in walking distance of on-campus housing options and several nearby off-campus hotels. Suggestions for nearby hotels are on the Travel Information page. Please note that the University venues are non-smoking.


Oral presentations

Each contributed talk will last 12 minutes with an additional 3 minutes for discussion. Keynote talks will last 24 minutes plus 6 minutes for discussion.

A central computer and a screen projector for electronic presentations, an overhead projector, a 35-mm slide projector, and a video projector will be available.

Information on available display-software and pre-presentation testing will be provided later.


Poster presentations


Poster sessions will be held in the afternoons. Posters should be no larger than 1.1 meters (42 inches) wide by 1.2 meters (48 inches) deep. Authors are expected to present their poster during the official poster hours. The poster-presentation area will be in the Club Level of Folsom Stadium, with beautiful views of the Flatirons. To encourage intensive discussion among the attendees, the program committee recommends the authors to leave their posters up during the full conference week..
