Conference Topics

As in the past Symposia our topics broadly included tropospheric profiling measurement, instruments, measurement needs. General topics include:

Profiling of wind, water vapor, temperature, and trace gases Validation of measurements and models with in-situ and remote sensors Aerosols, clouds, and radiation Assimilation of tropospheric profiling data Convection and turbulence Precipitation Networks and integrated systems New instruments and algorithms

Other topics included:

• Assimilation of network data into models;
• Aerosol properties applicable to air quality and climate;
• Combinations of diverse profiling measurements and the synergies they produce.
