CME04 ISFF Netcdf Files
The CME04 5-minute Netcdf files contain means and higher moments from
all sensors acquired by NCAR during CME04.
Each file contains one day's data from 00:00 to 23:59 GMT.
The file names are of the form "hvams.YYMMDD.nc", where YYMMDD
are the 2 digit year, month and day.
We recommend combining these to obtain more statistically-significant
averages over longer time periods.
Status of Dataset
Third QC Release, March 16, 2005
ISFF 5-minute statistics are available for download in NetCDF and ASCII form.
All post-processing steps and quality checks described in the CME04 WWW page
have been applied, including the fast-response co2 data processing. Slow-response
CO2 measurements from Hydra have been processed separately and are available
here.
Update from the Feb. 3 release is a bug fix which inadvertently threw out data for the
water-vapor fluxes at 2m and all fluxes from 17m and 30m before the kryptons were
cleaned the first time.
Updates from Dec. 20 release:
- Sonic anemometer data (including fluxes) are now in geographic coordinates.
- Derived values (including sensible and latent heat and corrected net radiation)
have been added.
- Configuration errors with some of the sonic anemometers have been compensated
for.
- Obviously bad sonic anemometer data have been removed.
More information on the Netcdf file format is available from
Unidata.
ISFF CME045min Dataset Access
The CME04 ISFF dataset is publically available.
However, we ask users to provide their name and email address
when they first download data, so that they may be notified of
discovered errors or new releases of the dataset.
If you have provided this information before for this dataset,
leave the fields blank.
