MLO ISFF Netcdf Files
These 5 minute data are a merge of the following:
- means and covariances of data from the sonic anemometers at
6, 15 and 25 meters
- 1 hour pressure, air temperature and dewpoint at 2 meters,
and wind speed and direction at 10 meters, as provided by NOAA.
These 1 hour means have been linearly interpolated to 5 minutes.
- Derived Cn^2
Each file contains one day's data from 00:00 to 23:59 GMT.
The file names are of the form "isff_YYYYMMDD.nc", where YYYYMMDD
are the 4 digit year, month and day.
We recommend combining these to obtain more statistically-significant
averages over longer time periods.
Status of Dataset
Release, December 11, 2007
The sonic anemometer data are in instrument coordinates; They
have not been rotated to geographic coordinates, and they
have not been corrected for anemometer tilt.

ISFF MLO_CN25min Dataset Access
The MLO_CN2 ISFF dataset is publically available.
However, we ask users to provide their name and email address
when they first download data, so that they may be notified of
discovered errors or new releases of the dataset.
