Submitting a Letter of Intent (LoI)
This How-to is intended for:
EOL Current/Potential PIs
EOL requests PIs to submit an LoI to EOL early on in their project planning.
Once we receive the LoI, we will include the project in the long-term planning schedule. The information will help NSF as well as EOL in addressing long-term project and facility needs. It will also allow EOL staff to participate early on in the planning process and provide valuable advice and guidance if needed.
The following information should be provided via email to FPS:
- Project name and acronym
- PIs and Co-PIs
- A short summary of the scientific goals of the project
- Location
- Start and end dates of the field campaign
- Facilities to be requested
- Name of the NSF Program Manager
