It is EOL's policy to foster scientific research through simple and timely community access to all data collected by EOL facilities. This page links EOL's data, policies and request procedures.

NCAR/EOL Data Archive:
EOL/CDS maintains an archive of all data collected through the use of EOL platforms or data-collection systems. CDS serves as an initial contact for all user requests, working then with the other groups within EOL to ensure that a user's needs are met.

NCAR/EOL Automated Data Retrieval:
EOL/CDS maintains a web based tool that allows data retrieval from the mass store. Most EOL data from calendar year 2000 and beyond are accessible from this tool. Some older datasets are also available.

EOL/RAF Project Data Catalog:
EOL/RAF maintains a site with online bitfile logs that allow users to find NCAR aircraft data on the NCAR/SCD Mass Store System by project name or number.

EOL/SSSF Surface Data Archive:
Project reports and data links for surface datasets from ISFF, PAM and ASTER.

NCAR/EOL Codiac system:
Atmospheric, meteorological, and other geophysical datasets from operational sources and the scientific research programs for which NCAR/EOL and UCAR/JOSS have provided data management support.

TOGA COARE Soundings Data Corrections:
EOL and Vaisala have identified a fundamental bias in humidity sensors used in the TOGA COARE Radiosondes. Using Vaisala calibration data, EOL/SSSF has developed a correction scheme that appears to work well and was funded by NSF to apply these corrections to all TOGA COARE Soundings Data (see NSF proposal). A seminar, "Dry Bias in Global Radiosonde Humidity Data: Cause, Correction and Consequences", was presented by EOL to the NWS and NSF on 22 Feb 1999. The presentation is on-line.
