Carbon Isotope Laser Absorption Spectrometer (CILAS)

This instrument will provide in-situ measurement capability to study ‘fast’ carbon exchange processes involving 13C/12C CO2 isotopes, and may be operated in the field continuously for long time periods (hours to days).

CILAS is currently undergoing comprehensive precision and accuracy verification using a range of calibrated isotopic standards.

The current performance exceeds 0.02 per mil of precision and better than 0.05 per mil accuracy.
