Requesting NSF's Lower Atmospheric Observing Facilities FPS serves as the first point of contact for investigators interested in requesting the use of NSF's Lower Atmospheric Observing Facilities (LAOF). Field Project Support Staff within the FPS facility have years of experience in providing advice and support with respect to planning, organizing, and implementing research programs and associated field projects worldwide.

Field Deployments FPS provides comprehensive and scalable project management support services to all EOL facilities, the NSF-supported scientific research community and others. Activities include the provision of operations directors and aircraft coordinators during the duration of the project. We are currently working on several potential field campaigns including PREDICT, DC3, HYMEX and DYNAMO.

Technical Project Management Field Project Services staff also provides project management support for technical development projects within the Laboratory. Currently, we are involved in the CAPRIS and VOC MSI Proposals, and the Global Hawk Dropsonde development.

Logistics Support Field Project Services staff routinely takes care of a long list of logistical arrangements including shipping to foreign countries. Logistics can make or break a project and should be an integral part in any project planning.
