LAOF BOOTH
Visit us and the Dopler on Wheels radar truck at booth #936 to learn about the available Lower Atmospheric Observing Facilities (LAOF) and the process of how to request them. This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with facility managers and NSF representatives, and ask questions that you may have about a specific facility or the request process.
- Tuesday, 8 January 9:30am - 6:00pm
- Wednesday, 9 January 9:30am - 6:30pm
- Thursday, 10 January 9:30am - 12:00pm
Through their Lower Atmospheric Observing Facilities (LAOF) program the National Science Foundation provides scientific research platforms and instrumentation to the geosciences community. Facilities include aircraft, airborne and ground-based radars, lidars, surface and sounding systems. Platforms are managed and operated by five partner organizations and eligible for separate NSF deployment funding.
